Ratatouille writer Brad Bird thanks his junior high guidance counselor for his repeated skepticism when he said he wanted to make films. "I only realized just recently that he gave me the perfect training for the movie business."

Juno writer Diablo Cody winning best screenplay. She seemed stunned and humbled. Her reaction was so real, her accomplishment so inspiring.
